Admission Requirements.

Pilots carry a significant responsibility, and therefore, you need to meet specific requirements before commencing your pilot education with us

To Start Your Pilot Education With Us You Must:

Propell fly diamond
  1. Have completed and passed high school (Higher Education Entrance Qualification), hold a Certificate of Apprenticeship, or be over 23 years of age*
  2. Pass our admission test

  3. Hold a valid EASA & FAA Class 1 medical certificate within course start date, the EASA certificate MUST be Swedish (the medical procedure can still be done in Norway, Sweden or the Nederlands)

*The Applicants who haven’t completed high school and turn 23 during the admission year may be considered based on prior learning and work experience.

*If you did not pass or completed high school and you turn 23 years of age during the admission year you may be considered based on validation of prior learning and work experience.
There is no requirement for a police certificate, but be aware that employers within the aviation industry will require one. Read more about this at www.luftfartstilsynet.no/en/

FAA Medical in Norway 

Norges Flymedisinske Senter (Located in Oslo)
If you do both FAA and EASA medical at this senter, the FAA medical will cost 1000kr on top of the EASA cost. Students will have to have a contract with OSM Aviation Academy to do the FAA medical at Norges flymedisinske senter.

Admission Test Process

Start by ordering your admission test

After you place the order, you will receive an email with information about the test and a license code you’ll use for logging in.

3.

The admission test must be completed within 30 days after receiving the code.

After starting the admission test, it must be finished within 48 hours.

4.

You will receive your admission test results within 2–5 days after completing the test.

If you fail the admission test, you may retake it after 12 months.

If you pass the admission test, we will send a link with the application form.

6.

After you submit your application form, you will receive your contract. Once you have signed it, the registration fee details will be sent to you in a separate email.

A passed admission test is valid for one year.

Your seat is reserved when you sign the contract and the registration fee of 25 000 NOK/SEK has been paid

Upon completing these steps, we will send you a confirmation of your reserved seat at the school.

One week before school starts, all students must complete a mathematics and physics course. Course material will be provided by OSM Aviation Academy. The courses are created for you as a student so that you can prepare and refresh relevant knowledge which will give you the best conditions for a flying start in this education.

How To Apply.

In order to be eligible to start at OSM Aviation Academy, you’ll be required to pass our online based admission test. The admission test will check your abilities to become a pilot, by testing, amongst other things, where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Passing our admission test will show you have good prerequisites to become a solid pilot.

PREPARATION AND EXECUTION 

We recommend you prepare for the admission test. The best way to do this is by downloading our guide to the admission test, where you can read about the different areas you will be tested in, to better understand what is to come.

When taking your admission test, you should sit in a quiet room where you will not be disturbed. Try to be as relaxed as you can be and ensure you have something to eat/drink. The admission test takes about two hours to complete.

The admission test is conducted digitally and costs 30 Euros (non-refundable)

After starting the admission test, it must be finished within 48 hours.

If you fail the admission test, you have the opportunity to retake the test after 12 months.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

After passing the entrance exam you will receive an email with a link to the application form.

When the application is received by us we will issue you a contract which has to be signed within 14 days. After the contract is signed and the registration fee of 25 000 NOK/SEK has been paid, your seat at the school will be secured.

Continuing from there, you will be contacted by our student coordinator with practical information regarding the course start. You will need to acquire an EASA Class 1 Medical Examination as soon as possible. The certificate MUST be Swedish (the medical procedure can still be done in Norway, Sweden or the Nederlands)
