Alumni Success Stories
At OSM Aviation Academy, our graduates are our greatest ambassadors. Many of our alumni have successfully transitioned into dynamic careers with airlines around the world, flying aircraft such as the Boeing 737, 787, and DHC-8. Their achievements reflect the strength of our training philosophy and the career-focused pathway we provide. Whether it’s commanding commercial jets or becoming trusted second & first officers, our alumni continue to inspire future pilots by turning their ambitions into reality.

About the Airline Ready® Pilot Program
The OSM Airline Ready® Pilot Program is a comprehensive, 20–24 month, competency-based training course designed for aspiring pilots. Aligned with our commitment to Training Excellence, the program includes all required theory and flight training to prepare students for a professional airline career. Participants are mentored throughout the course in collaboration with our airline partners. Upon successful completion, cadets undergo a final review board and evaluation, leading to potential placement with airline partners, operating aircraft such as the DHC-8, Boeing 737, or 787 globally.

Sean in SAS uniform
Sean Marx Noren - First Officer at SAS

"My journey into aviation started at a young age, spending countless hours at Stockholm Arlanda Airport where both my parents worked for SAS. My brother and I would often sit in Sky City, having meals while watching aircraft take off and land. Being surrounded by that atmosphere sparked a deep fascination with flying, something my parents noticed and fully supported. That early passion eventually led me to OSM Aviation Academy, where I began my training with very little experience. The team at OSM provided an incredibly professional and supportive environment, guiding me every step of the way and helping me grow into the pilot I am today. I now have the privilege of flying for SAS—my dream airline. Every day on the job brings something new, whether it's a short flight up to Umeå or a longer sector over the Alps to places like Rome. The variety keeps things exciting, and I continue to learn and grow with each flight. I’m looking forward to what the future holds at SAS and truly enjoy every moment flying the Airbus A320."

Dean in Norwegian cockpit
Dean Moses - First Officer at Norwegian

"Hello! My name is Dean, and I work as a First Officer for Norwegian, currently based in Las Palmas. I started my journey at OSM Aviation Academy in 2021, and honestly, it was such a great time. I made some amazing friends, had instructors who truly cared about my success, and learned so much both in and out of the classroom and cockpit.

With all the tools and amazing support I received from OSM, I landed my first job as an FO at my dream airline. Now, I get to fulfill the dream I’ve had since childhood every day at work.

Choosing a flight school can be a difficult task, but for me, it was a no brainer. From the modern aircraft fleet, the 737 simulator, top-notch instruction, and student tutoring program, to the extensive airline partnerships OSM stood out in every way.
Looking back, I’m really glad I trusted my gut. If flying is your dream too, this could be the place where it all begins."

Inda Garin - First Officer at Widerøe

"I started flight school in January 2020 and was part of the YH program at OSM. During my time at OSM we had flight and theoretical training at the same time, which was very helpful. That way it was easy to get to understand some parts of the theory by applying them to real life.

Upon finishing flight school I got hired at Widerøe as a first officer. Being a pilot flying for Widerøe is both exciting and challenging. I fly short field operations on the Dash-8 100/200/300 series, mainly along the norwegian coast, and each day is different from the other. These small airports all have their own peculiarities, and having good local knowledge is very important. The captains I fly with have extensive experience flying to these places, and share their knowledge surrounding special approaches, weather phenomenons, and other important factors to think about. Other than line flying, there are other ways to progress your career in line with your interests. Last October I took on a position as a theoretical knowledge instructor which has been really rewarding. I get to meet colleagues from different bases, and learn a lot both by teaching and listening to other people’s experiences. Being able to have a combination of both instructing and flying is also a huge plus."

Jacob Nilsson
Jacob Nilsson - First Officer at Norwegian

"During my time at OSM, I received a solid introduction to the world of aviation. Learning from and working alongside passionate instructors made both flying and studying the ATPL subjects easier and more enjoyable. I also made lasting friendships with fellow aviation enthusiasts, many of whom I’m still close with today.
Now, working at Norwegian, I thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Flying the Boeing 737 to over 100 destinations with colleagues from around the world keeps each day exciting—and I get to enjoy the best office view in the world."
