Life as a student pilot is both rewarding and demanding. In the span of 20-24 months, you will go through a very intense study program, which makes it important for you to be able to relax in between flying and theory. We make arrangements for our students to have enough study time outside the classroom, and also during the flight program.

Student Life
Your time as a student can be some of the best years of your life. You’ll learn new skills, gain valuable experiences, and often make friends for life. We encourage you to make the most of both your studies and your free time, and we’ll support you as much as we can along the way.
Housing is not included in the course fee for the Airline Ready® Program.

Student society
A sense of community among students during the study period is one of the most important prerequisites for a good and successful study period. That is why OSMAA has a separate student society which holds regular gatherings. This will include, among other things, cinema nights, quiz nights, boat trips, and much more. We encourage all pilot students with us to join the student community.
On the first day at OSM Aviation Academy, you will meet at Gardermoen (Oslo Airport), where you will be welcomed by OSM employees. They will introduce the programme and explain what to expect during the first few days.
After the presentation, you will travel together with OSM to the USA, where you will be shown your accommodations. Next, you will be given a tour of the airport and the surrounding area. In addition, there will be several group activities to help everyone get to know each other, creating a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
Arendal and the wider Southern Norway region offer a wide range of opportunities. How about a nice dip in the outdoor swimming pool in Arendal Gjestehavn, or a trip to the car-free island of Merdø? Our training location in the USA is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Fayetteville has generally been highly ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of the nation’s Best Places to Live. Fayetteville is known for its welcoming and dynamic student environment, with a diverse university community. Getting around is convenient and affordable, thanks to free public transport that makes exploring the city easy.
Our training location in the USA is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Fort Lauderdale is a coastal city on the Atlantic Ocean often known for its beaches and boating canals. Besides its miles of blue waterways and sandy beaches, the city also offers a wide variety of entertainment and cultural activities you can enjoy while taking a break from the studies.
